Hey everyone. Welcome into this video on attention, which is chapter six of neville Godard's power of awareness. Now, I wanna go through a couple of things here that are really going to allow you to fuse with the desires that you wanna allow better than maybe what you're doing right now, which will automatically help you manifest and attract a whole lot better. So again, this is chapter six in power of awareness. Now, if we just go to this first paragraph here, attention is forceful in proportion to the narrowness of its focus. That is when it is obsessed with a single idea or sensation. Now I'm gonna take a couple of pauses throughout this teaching here, because I think it's going to really settle in a lot of the law of attraction material you've already listened into. So let's go through this whole paragraph and then we'll circle back to a couple of things and point 'em out on what you could apply here.

So it is studied and powerfully focused only by such an adjustment of the mind as permits you to see one thing only for you study the attention and increase its power by confining it, the desire which realizes itself is always a desire upon which attention is exclusively concentrated for. An idea is endowed with power only in proportion to the degree of attention fixed on it. Concentrated observation is the attentive attitude directed towards some specific end. The attentive attitude involves selection for when you pay attention, it signifies that you have decide to focus your attention on one object or state rather than another. Now, also just so important because you know, the standard law of attraction ideas like attracts like right, but really what's going on here is if we just go at that first sentence again, attention is forceful and proportion to the narrowness of its focus.

That is when it is obsessed with a single idea or sensation. Now, most of us on this physical plane, we're not really obsessed just with what we want, if, unless we're ma really mastering this idea, we're also really focused on the physical experience you're having right now in your life. It feels so real. Doesn't it like the results you have right now when you're listening into this seem just as real as, as what you would call reality, right? The circumstances you have your bank account, the money that you have, the relationships that you have, the living scenarios that you have, it seems like this is the only reality. So if we really think about it, our attention, most of our days is really paying attention to what is, what is physically true today? The amount of money you do have the relationships you do have the place that you live in now. So mostly our idea right here, again, obsessed with a single idea or sensation. Most of us are obsessed with our physical reality, current results. And that's why we keep attracting so many of the circumstances that are really frustrating and, and about the same as normal and not too much movement. So what Neville's talking about here, let's go another sentence here.

So an adjustment in what you're thinking, not just thinking about your current results, but the desired results you want of the mind is permits you to see one thing only for you study the attention and increase its power by confining it, or what we call focusing in. That's why the chapter's called attention, right? But by actually increasing our, our attention and power within the ideas that we do want, we start to pull that towards us. So what you wanna start practicing a little bit more is before you fall asleep at night, is you want to actually think more about your desires, like actually view them on the screen of your mind and feel them to be true. Now, now that might not be true. Like we mentioned, like physical lies, if you will.

So you're kind of lying to yourself in a way, but it's a spiritual truth or where you could call it future truth or you know, something that's becoming. And when you start focusing a little bit more, right, the forcefulness of your attention on that desired reality, you're gonna feel, and you're gonna be obsessed more about your dreams than your current reality. Let's go one more sentence there. The desire, which realizes itself is always a desire upon which attention is exclusively concentrated. That's really huge. So you don't want like one thing on the left side and then also want the one thing on the right side. That's opposite of the thing you want. Right? You wanna have a really deep desire in your mind and hold that in your mind as if it's already done. Okay. Let's continue for an idea. Is endowed with power only in proportion to the degree of attention fixed on it.

Now we don't wanna force his attention. That's one of the common misconceptions. I, I had to learn this so many times in my life and I actually just spoke with a client on this as well is like when we're focusing on it, but we don't feel that good about it. We're forcing into, we're trying to control it to happen. Like we, we want it to manifest so badly that we're trying to force it into existence, but we're actually feeling the absence of it. And if you're feeling frustrated or irritated by your desires, you are feeling the absence of it. So it's not forceful. Like you're actually trying to push it. You're just allowing it. It's like falling asleep. You don't try to sleep. You just fall into rest. Same idea here. Let's continue. Concentrated observation is the attentive attitude and remember attitudes, your thoughts, feelings, and actions, by the way, a little side note directed towards some specific end. The attentive attitude involves selection for when you pay attention. And let's just take a pause here. You're paying attention. What does that mean? You're paying haw energy to what you want. That's why we say pay attention. You're paying something, paying the price. So you're actually paying thought energy to what you want. It signifies that you have decided to focus your attention on one object or state rather than another. And basically in the chapter. What, again, what

We're talking about is focusing your attention on the things you do want your desires rather than what you don't. So you're paying attention to the state of you having the thing, right? So try this out every night from here, actually make sure you fall asleep with the feeling like that feeling within as if you already had the thing and try and do this for like a little test of seven days or five days, just you wanna be consistent with this pay attention, unless you're current reality, it's just one of the realities you can be evolving yourself into. Uh, you know, there's a multiverse that really has an infinite number of realities happening right now. You just need to align yourself with that one. We're gonna be talking about that a bit more.
